On the afternoon of July 21, the Ministry of Finance held an award ceremony for the "9th National Journalism Award on Finance in 2025", on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Finance Sector (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025).
Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duc Chi, Deputy Minister of Finance, said that the "National Journalism Award on the Finance Sector" competition has been held since 2006. And this year 2025 is the 9th award ceremony, to honor typical press works, authors who are dedicated to writing about the operation and development of the finance sector.
"This year's competition is especially meaningful, associated with the financial industry's 80th anniversary of establishment and development.
"I am very excited because the nominations for this year's awards have covered all economic and financial fields and outstanding events, further clarifying the milestones in the 80-year history of the financial sector's construction and development, affirming the role of the financial sector in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland," said Mr. Nguyen Duc Chi.
According to the organizers, this year's contest has the participation of 2,750 works from press agencies including all four types: print, radio, television, and electronic.
The quality of the works is innovative, diverse in genre, rich in themes, closely following events, and addressing many new issues that have been and are being raised in the country's economic and financial development.
Through two preliminary and final rounds, the results of the "9th National Journalism Award on Finance in 2025" contest, the organizing committee and the final jury of the contest have selected outstanding works to award prizes.
Accordingly, the special prize was awarded to the group of authors Cao Thi Thanh Tra and Vu Van Nhat of the News Department of Vietnam Television with the series of television reports "Insurance industry strives to support and compensate customers affected by storm No. 3 ( Yagi )".
In addition, the contest awarded 4 A prizes, 20 B prizes and 28 C prizes for outstanding works.
Tuoi Tre Newspaper Awarded B prize with the work "Reducing VAT, increasing consumer demand" by the group of authors Le Thanh - Thanh Chung.
At the same time, Tuoi Tre newspaper is also one of nine press agencies to receive a certificate of merit from the Minister of Finance for its outstanding achievements in the success of the contest and positive contributions to the results of information and propaganda work in the field of finance and investment.
