Previously, Lieutenant General To An Xo cited a report from Dak Lak Provincial Police saying: Early in the morning of June 11, a group of people used guns to attack the headquarters of the People's Committee of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, killing and injuring a number of commune police officers, commune officials and residents.

On the afternoon of June 11, the Minister of Public Security decided to posthumously promote the rank of Captain to Major for Mr. Hoang Trung (born in 1981, hometown Nghi Loc district, Nghe An ), a police officer of Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district;

Posthumously promote the rank of Captain from Senior Lieutenant to Captain for Mr. Nguyen Dang Nhan (born in 1994, hometown Yen Thanh district, Nghe An), police officer of Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district;

Posthumously promote the rank of Captain to Major for Mr. Tran Quoc Thang (born in 1989, hometown Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh), police officer of Ea Tieu commune, Cu Kuin district;

Posthumously promote the rank of Captain from Senior Lieutenant to Captain for Mr. Ha Tuan Anh (born in 1991, hometown Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa), police officer of Ea Tieu commune, Cu Kuin district./.
