Injustice for Jack Grealish

Jack Grealish responded to coach Thomas Tuchel after not being named in England's squad for the FIFA Days in October.

Grealish continues to be left out.

In this training session, coach Tuchel named Bukayo Saka to return from injury, while Noni Madueke and Tino Livramento were absent. Notably, Jude Bellingham was not present because he has not regained his form at Real Madrid after shoulder surgery.

The most controversial case is Grealish. Despite his excellent performance at Everton under manager David Moyes, Grealish was not called up. Immediately after the list was announced, Everton posted a graphic showing that Grealish leads the Premier League 2025/26 in chances created (17 times).

The post was quickly shared by Grealish on Instagram with impressive highlights, as a way to respond to coach Tuchel about his recent form.

Grealish last played for the Three Lions nearly a year ago, scoring in a 3-1 win over Finland in the Nations League. At 30, he has repeatedly stated his desire to return to major tournaments.

During the press conference, Tuchel still praised: "Jack is very close to the best version of himself, a special player with a special personality." However, he said he chose to keep the same frame from the previous training session and only changed with the return of Saka.

The decision continues to be controversial as Grealish is showing a strong revival in the Premier League but is not rewarded with a ticket back to the national team.

England will face Wales in a charity friendly at Wembley on October 10, before visiting Latvia on October 15 in the European qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup.
