On September 4, information from Ha Tinh Provincial Police said that Huong Khe District Police had just arrested two subjects for illegal possession and trafficking of drugs; confiscated 3,100 drug pills.

Initial information, previously at around 0:05 on August 28, Working Group 238 coordinated with the Economic - Drug Police Team (Huong Khe District Police) to discover and arrest Nguyen Van Dam (43 years old, residing in Gia Pho Commune, Huong Khe District) in the act of illegally storing drugs, seizing 6 plastic bags, inside were 1,100 pink and blue tablets.

Nguyen Van Dam confessed that the tablets contained in the above mentioned plastic bags were pink meth, purchased from a man residing in Quang Tri province.

Expanding the investigation, Huong Khe District Police identified the subject who sold drugs to Nguyen Van Dam as Truong Dinh Bon (44 years old, residing in Quarter 8, Ward 1, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province).

Authorities conduct inventory of exhibits

On September 1, the Investigation Police Agency of Huong Khe District Police coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Quang Tri Provincial Police and Ward 1 Police, Dong Ha City to execute an emergency detention order against Truong Dinh Bon.

During the process of executing the arrest warrant, the Investigation Police Agency of Huong Khe District Police discovered and seized 10 plastic bags in Truong Dinh Bon's pants pocket, containing about 2,000 pink and blue tablets.

Conducting an urgent search of Truong Dinh Bon's residence (at house number 43/12, Nguyen Trai street, group 14, quarter 8, ward 1, Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province), the authorities discovered and seized 15 million VND.

Truong Dinh Bon confessed that on August 27, he sold drugs to Nguyen Van Dam for 15 million VND.

Initially at the investigation agency, Nguyen Van Dam and Truong Dinh Bon confessed to the crime of illegally buying, selling and storing drugs.

On September 4, the Investigation Police Agency of Huong Khe District Police transferred the case file, the two subjects Nguyen Van Dam and Truong Dinh Bon, and all related contents to the Investigation Police Agency of Ha Tinh Provincial Police for further investigation and handling according to authority.
