At about 3:30 a.m. the same day, when the functional forces patrolled the area in Dai Mach commune (Dong Anh district), they discovered two water vehicles without registration numbers or control numbers, so they conducted an inspection according to regulations.
At that time, the police identified a watercraft with a sand pumping device with 4 people including: LVL (born in 1985; boat driver), NQC (born in 1990), HVĐ. (born in 1991) and NNT (born in 1988; all residing in Bac Giang ).

The above subjects could not present any documents related to vehicles, equipment and mineral exploitation activities as requested by the authorities.
At the sand receiving vessel, the police identified two people: TVT (born in 1996; piloting the vessel) and TVĐ. (born in 2001). There was currently “goods” in the hold.
During the working process with the Police, TVT presented a Certificate of professional competence of captain class T2 and a Certificate of technical safety of the vehicle with license plate: TH-1573.
Continuing the struggle, the subjects further confessed that about an hour before, these two vehicles had been anchored on the Red River bed (through Lien Mac ward, Bac Tu Liem district) to pump sand. When detecting the authorities, the subjects drove the vehicles to the left bank of the Red River (in Dai Mach commune) to escape. However, the task force promptly chased and arrested them.
Currently, the case is being continued by Waterway Police Team No. 1 in coordination with functional forces to verify and handle according to legal regulations.
