Tour guide arrested for raping 17 year old girl

On January 21, news from the Investigation Police Agency of Tra Vinh City Police (Tra Vinh) said that the unit had just issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and execute an order to temporarily detain Nguyen Thanh Lam (24 years old, residing in Ward 1, Tra Vinh City), to investigate the act of rape.

Tour guide raped 17 year old girl in motel

According to the initial investigation results, Lam and HNY (17 years old, residing in District 6, Ho Chi Minh City) had known each other before. At around 8:00 p.m. on November 16, 2023, Lam and Y. made an appointment to meet at a motel in Ward 8, Tra Vinh City. There, Lam used force to force Y. to have sexual intercourse.

After escaping, Y. went to the police station to report Lam's actions. Lam was arrested shortly after. Lam admitted to his crime. The police said that Lam worked as a tour guide.

The above rape case is being further investigated and handled by the Investigation Police Agency of Tra Vinh City according to the provisions of law.
