US Election 2024: Ms. Harris leads Mr. Trump by a slim margin

A recent poll found that 50% of respondents were willing to support Ms. Harris in the US presidential election, while only 45% supported Mr. Trump.

According to the results of a poll conducted by ABC News, the Washington Post and the Ipsos survey firm, US Vice President Kamala Harris - the Democratic candidate - is leading her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump, by 5 percentage points in the race for the White House.

The poll results show that 50% of all survey participants are willing to support Ms. Harris in the US presidential election, while only 45% support Mr. Trump.

The rest are still undecided. The poll among registered voters heading to the polls in November showed similar results, with Harris leading Trump by 4 percentage points—49% to 45%.

The poll was conducted from August 9-13 with more than 2,300 respondents across the United States. The margin of error is 2 percentage points./.
