Previously, on May 1, Mr. TMC, 25 years old, residing in Tan An commune, Vinh Cuu district, was taken to Dong Nai General Hospital for emergency treatment by locals after being shot in the abdomen. Upon admission, the patient was conscious but had a rapid pulse with an abdominal wound caused by a bullet.
Master - Doctor Cao Thanh Tung, Department of General Surgery - Digestive, Dong Nai General Hospital said that after examination, doctors performed tests, ultrasound, and abdominal CT scan to determine the "path" of the bullet.
The CT scan shows that the bullet went straight through the front of the abdomen, punctured the stomach and lodged in the patient's pancreas. Fortunately, the bullet did not puncture large blood vessels such as the abdominal aorta. If the bullet had gone 1-1.5 cm deeper, it would have entered large blood vessels, causing damage and endangering the patient's life on the way to the emergency room.

Doctors performed surgery to remove the bullet and examined the surrounding organs for damage and treatment, but fortunately there was none.
Mr. C. said that while driving a truck on the road through Tan An commune, a subject on a motorbike followed and blocked the vehicle. Mr. C. stopped the vehicle and was threatened by this subject and suddenly shot in the stomach with a homemade air gun. Mr. C. and this subject did not know each other.
The incident is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
