On February 15, Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Dak Lak province successfully organized the 3rd Annual Scientific Conference in 2025. This is one of the activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025) and the third anniversary of the Hospital's founding (February 16, 2022 - February 16, 2025).

Particularly within the framework of the conference, Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital officially launched the Automated Laboratory, applying advanced technological solutions to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, aiming at patient satisfaction.

The 3rd Annual Scientific Conference in 2025 of Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital is a large-scale scientific event, gathering more than 300 delegates who are experts and experienced doctors from prestigious schools and hospitals in Vietnam such as: Hanoi Medical University; Cho Ray Hospital; Xanh Pon General Hospital, Hanoi; Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy; Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital; Friendship Hospital, Nghe An province; Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy... with 76 scientific reports presented at 11 specialized seminars.

With the motto "Taking patients as the center", Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital is gradually affirming its value and gaining the trust of people in the area.

After three years of operation, the hospital has received more than 851,189 medical examinations; 53,670 inpatient treatments; performed 32,190 surgeries; and welcomed 4,035 babies, including 318 babies born through in vitro fertilization (IVF).

In addition, Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital is the first private hospital in Dak Lak province to deploy a smart medical kiosk to optimize the process of registering for medical examination and treatment through citizen identification cards, VNeID application for level 2 identification and cashless payment.

To meet the healthcare needs of people in the Central Highlands region, in August 2024, the Hospital began construction to expand its scale to more than 700 beds, while promoting scientific research activities, human resource training and enhancing international cooperation.

At the 3rd Annual Scientific Conference in 2025 of Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, with 76 scientific reports presented at 11 specialized seminars, all carefully prepared and in-depth, revolving around the following fields and specialties: Hepatobiliary Pancreas; Digestion; Kidney-Urinary, Abdominal Wall; Neurology-Spine and Orthopedic Trauma; Anesthesia and Resuscitation; Internal Medicine; Obstetrics and Gynecology; Interdisciplinary ENT-Dentistry-Eye; Medical Management, Nursing... to evaluate and compare the actual results of models and techniques that have been and are being effectively implemented at facilities and propose future treatment strategies, which received a lot of attention and enthusiastic discussion from delegates.

Along with scientific research activities, Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital always strives to apply modern technology to medical examination and treatment.

The year 2025 marks an important step forward at the hospital with the launch of the Automated Laboratory using the Automation CCM & cobas Pro system from Roche (Switzerland). This is the first automated testing system in the Central Highlands region, designed to optimize the operating process, minimizing manual operations in sample preparation, analysis and storage.

The breakthrough of the automated testing system not only helps to improve accuracy, but also shortens the time to return results. This system contributes to increasing the working efficiency of the medical team, providing a solid foundation, supporting clinicians in diagnosing and predicting diseases.

Thanks to that, the quality of treatment is significantly improved, bringing benefits to each patient and contributing to improving public health, meeting the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment in the current context.

Within the framework of the conference, there are also booths displaying products, medical supplies, and high-tech machinery from prestigious domestic and foreign companies and corporations, providing useful information and an interesting, intuitive look for delegates attending.
