Le Van Thinh Hospital is one of the few district hospitals in the country to be granted a continuous medical training code. This is the premise for the Ministry of Health to replicate the model to many other medical facilities across the country, especially at the district level.

On the afternoon of May 19, Le Van Thinh Hospital (Thu Duc City) celebrated its 15th anniversary and received a certificate of continuous training code. This is the second district-level hospital in Ho Chi Minh City and one of the few district-level hospitals in the country to achieve this certification.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngo Quang, Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Training (Ministry of Health) said that through assessment, Le Van Thinh Hospital has met 5 basic criteria to be granted a continuous training code including: facilities, training programs, training materials, teaching staff and management.

The fact that facilities are granted continuing education codes plays a very important role in improving the professional capacity of medical staff and meeting the increasing medical examination and treatment needs of the people.

“Le Van Thinh Hospital is one of the few district-level hospitals in the country to be granted a continuous medical training code. This is the premise for the Ministry of Health to replicate the model in many other medical facilities across the country, especially at the district level,” Mr. Nguyen Ngo Quang emphasized, adding that the granting of training codes is strictly controlled to avoid distortions that affect the quality of training.

Previously, reporting at the celebration, Dr. Tran Van Khanh, Director of Le Van Thinh Hospital, said that after 15 years of operation, the hospital is considered a miniature model of end-line hospitals with the establishment of many satellite clinics with the support of many experts, including professors, associate professors, and doctors from upper-level hospitals of the Ministry of Health and Ho Chi Minh City.

The hospital has mastered 11,332 medical techniques. Among them are many advanced techniques such as: laparoscopic surgery to remove abdominal tumors, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, treatment of liver and biliary diseases, biliary-intestinal anastomosis, ligament reconstruction, knee and hip replacement, neurosurgery, etc. Currently, the hospital is also a practice facility for many universities.

Many individuals and units received certificates of merit from the Chairman of Thu Duc City People's Committee

On this occasion, Dr. Tran Van Khanh, Director of Le Van Thinh Hospital, was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal for his outstanding achievements in the prevention and control of Covid-19 and in taking care of people's health.
