Provincial Social Insurance propagates voluntary social insurance policy for family health insurance

Responding to the "Month of promoting the implementation of universal social insurance and communicating the peak of developing participants in 2023", on May 23, at the Khanh Binh Street Cultural House, Ninh Khanh Ward ( Ninh Binh City), the Provincial Social Insurance organized a conference to propagate and dialogue on voluntary social insurance and family health insurance policies for nearly 100 people in the ward.

At the conference, people were informed about their rights and benefits when participating in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance; and had their difficulties and problems when participating in voluntary social insurance answered. This is a type of insurance in which participants can choose the contribution level and payment method suitable to their income; the lowest contribution level is 297,000 VND/person/month. Citizens aged 15 and over and not subject to compulsory social insurance can participate in voluntary social insurance.

After being informed before and during the conference, at the conference, 9 people participated in voluntary social insurance and were given books.

According to statistics, by the end of April 2023, the whole province had nearly 160,000 people participating in social insurance, reaching 92.6% of the plan assigned by Vietnam Social Security. Of which, voluntary social insurance is 18,279 people. Ninh Binh strives to develop nearly 13,000 more people participating in social insurance from now until the end of the year.

In the "Month of promoting the implementation of universal social insurance and communicating the peak of developing social insurance and health insurance participants in 2023", the provincial Social Insurance strengthens propaganda work on social insurance and health insurance policies in general, especially voluntary social insurance and family health insurance.

During the month, the province plans to organize about 40 conferences to disseminate and directly dialogue with people, contributing to raising people's awareness of voluntary social insurance, health insurance and voluntary participation policies, ensuring social security in the area.
