(BLC) - On the afternoon of October 4, the National Assembly Delegation of the province led by Comrade Giang Pao My - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province; Tao Van Giot - Secretary of the Tam Duong District Youth Union, National Assembly Delegate of the province met with voters before the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly, term 2021-2026 in Ban Giang commune (Tam Duong district).

Attending the meeting with voters were Comrade Giang A Tinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; a number of provincial departments, branches, sectors and mass organizations.
On the side of Tam Duong district, there were comrades Tan Thi Que - Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council; Sung Lu Pao - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of the commune and more than 50 voters of Ban Giang commune.

The representative of Ban Giang commune's leadership reported a summary of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security in the first 9 months, and key tasks in the last 3 months of 2024. As a result, in the first 9 months, the socio-economic development, national defense and security and political system building of Ban Giang commune have had many positive changes, with all basic targets reaching and exceeding the plan.

Delegate Tao Van Giot informed voters of the expected content and program of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly. Accordingly, the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly is expected to open on October 21 and close on the morning of November 30, 2024 at the National Assembly House with 2 sessions. At the Session, 16 laws will be considered and passed, such as: Notary Law (amended); Trade Union Law (amended); Cultural Heritage Law (amended); Law on Geology and Minerals; Law on Urban and Rural Planning, etc.

Some opinions and recommendations of voters of Ban Giang commune focused on the following contents: investing in upgrading some rural roads and commune health stations; supporting new varieties of plants and livestock for the people; requesting the province to invest in new technological equipment to treat waste from Phan Lin landfill (Lai Chau city) to avoid environmental pollution and affecting the water source of Na Bo people; investing in building a traffic bridge to the Na Co village production area; and arranging the population of Suoi Thau village.

Concluding the Conference, Comrade Giang Pao My - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation highly appreciated the enthusiastic opinions of voters of Ban Giang commune. At the same time, he answered some issues of concern to voters within his authority. He suggested that the district should pay attention to arranging, renovating, and re-planning the villages to be neat and tidy; building bright, green, clean, and beautiful villages associated with the new countryside; proposing solutions to overcome limitations; focusing on intensive cultivation of organic tea areas; paying attention to creating jobs for local workers...

Comrade Giang Pao My - Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation delivered a concluding speech at the Conference.

Representatives of the provincial People's Committee and Tam Duong district answered voters' concerns within their authority. The provincial National Assembly Delegation will continue to receive and synthesize opinions and recommendations from higher levels to submit to the National Assembly for consideration in the next session.
