August 7: VND/USD central exchange rate continues to increase

The State Bank of Vietnam announced the central exchange rate of the Vietnamese Dong (VND) to the US Dollar (USD) this morning, increasing by 7 VND compared to the morning of August 6, at 25,239 VND/USD.

With a trading band of ±5%, today's ceiling rate is determined to be 26,501 VND/USD and the floor rate is 23,977 VND/USD.

The reference exchange rate at the Exchange is currently 24,021 - 26,443 VND/USD (buy - sell).

Reference exchange rates between Vietnamese Dong and foreign currencies at the Foreign Exchange Management Department are as follows:

At Vietcombank , the exchange rate this morning was listed at 26,010 - 26,400 VND (buy - sell), down 20 VND in both directions compared to August 6.

Updated at 10:30, the exchange rate at VietinBank was 26,042 - 26,402 VND (buy - sell), up 152 VND for buying and 2 VND for selling.

At BIDV Bank, 26,040 - 26,400 VND (buy - sell) is the exchange rate announced this morning, down 15 VND in both directions.

In the free market, the VND/USD exchange rate continued to have mixed movements, with the buying rate decreasing by 20 VND and the selling rate increasing by 30 VND. The exchange rate is currently at 26,030 - 26,420 VND/USD.
