At the destinations, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Tien Dung wished priests, pastors, religious dignitaries, Catholics, and Protestants a peaceful and happy Easter 2025.
Informing about the outstanding results of the province's socio-economic, defense-security situation and the arrangement and reorganization of administrative units at all levels, Provincial Party Secretary - Tran Tien Dung said that Ben Tre province, Vinh Long province and Tra Vinh province will be merged, named Vinh Long province, the political-administrative center will be located in Vinh Long province at present; at the same time, a model of organizing local government at 2 levels: province and commune will be built.
Regarding socio -economic development, the province's economic growth in the first quarter of 2025 reached 8.1%. The province focused its efforts and determination to basically complete the "elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses" before April 30, 2025...
At the same time, he emphasized that in recent times, the Vinh Long Diocese and the Representative Board of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (Southern Region) in Vinh Long province have coordinated with local authorities to mobilize Catholics and Protestants to comply with the law on religion and carry out social security activities in the locality.
