In the south, Phu Nhuan stage staged a play in 2005 and 2011 with the title The Thief Girl. At that time, People's Artist Doan Hoang Giang and People's Artist Hong Van worked together to direct, because Hong Van understood her actors best, and also understood the characteristics of the South. Therefore, the play was both tight and standard in Doan Hoang Giang's style, and free-spirited and attractive in Hong Van's style, bringing pain and excitement to the audience. This is one of the literary plays that made Phu Nhuan stage famous.

Now, producer Hong Van is re-enacting Bi Vo, premiering on April 30 and May 1 with a brand new cast, her students who have just graduated from advanced courses, which is a huge challenge for Hong Van.
The cast from the past were mostly experienced, such as Cat Phuong, Thai Hoa, Van Anh, Lan Phuong, Duc Thinh, Hoa Hiep... Today's cast with Kha Uy (Tam Binh), Hong Anh (Nam Sai Gon), Thai Son (Tu Lap Lo), Ngoc Tam (Chin Hiec), Ho Minh Man (Cam Xin), Trung Anh (Tham Chung), Diep Phi Phung (Quan Phap) and Duc Thuan, Tran Tuan Kiet, Hoang Linh Chi, Bang Tam, Minh Tho, Hong Nhung, Phuoc Bao... were young and very new. But unexpectedly, the young actors "pulled" the audience along with the play for 3 hours without getting bored. The acting and stage voices of this class of actors were all quite good, even their appearance was quite good, enough to carry the characters that were too heavy in psychology and action. Especially when having to recreate people from the 1930s that were too far away for today's youth, it was clear that they made a great effort and achieved remarkable success.
The new version was trimmed by Hong Van to be more neat and reasonable, and also gave more space for the children to compete (with more than 20 students, how to make each child have space to demonstrate their abilities was a bit of a headache). But the version satisfied the audience, because within the tragedy there were still charming layers of comedy, and the young actors really shined.
