On the Vietnam tourism map, Phu Yen is not a noisy or prominent destination, but it is that quietness that makes this land retain its rare pure beauty. Along National Highway 1 or the newly opened coastal road, visitors can easily come across picturesque beaches: white sand, blue water, gentle waves and a quiet space.

Ghenh Da Dia National Special Scenic Site – a unique natural wonder in Vietnam.

Phu Yen beach has the beauty of the intersection between mountains and waves, between rocks and water. The gentle beaches stretch out as if inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the cool, crystal clear water.

Tuy Hoa Beach – right in the city center – is an ideal place for tourists who want to relax close to urban amenities while still feeling the breath of the ocean. With a long, clean and flat sandy beach, this place in the summer is lit up by brilliant sunrises and colorful sunsets. Next to it, Long Thuy Beach is like a peaceful highlight, where local residents and tourists often choose to swim, play sports , or simply stroll under the swaying coconut trees.

One of the “precious gems” of Phu Yen sea is Xuan Dai Bay – considered as “miniature Ha Long Bay” of the Central region. The bay is located in Song Cau town, about 50 km north of Tuy Hoa city, surrounded by Xuan Thinh and Tu Nham peninsulas with sheltered terrain, calm water and charming scenery.

Miss Tourism Ambassador 2024 Dinh Thi Hoa (Dak Lak) checked in at the special national landscape of Ganh Da Dia.

Xuan Dai owns many small islands, peninsulas and picturesque fishing villages, typically Nhat Tu Son island connected to the mainland by a sandy road that appears at low tide. Here you can organize camping activities, mountain climbing, explore stone caves, enjoy fresh seafood caught by fishermen. Around the bay area, there are also traditional craft villages such as making fish sauce, aquaculture - creating vibrant and unique community tourism experiences. This is not only an ideal place to explore the beauty of the sea but also to experience the life of fishermen in a genuine, rustic way.

If Phu Yen is likened to a poem, then Ganh Da Dia is a strange, unique, outstanding, majestic and unique verse. This special national scenic spot is located in An Ninh Dong commune, Tuy An district, about 35 km from Tuy Hoa city. Ganh is a collection of thousands of hexagonal and pentagonal basalt columns stacked on top of each other like a stack of plates - creating a spectacular and unique scene in Vietnam.

In the summer, Ganh Da Dia becomes even more attractive when the waves gently lap against the rocks, creating murmuring sounds, white foam, combined with the golden sunlight and salty wind, making visitors feel the power and beauty of nature. Not far from there is Ganh Den - where the lighthouse illuminates the sea at night - an ideal place to welcome the sunrise or watch the sunset.

Phu Yen not only has beautiful coastline but also owns a very unique coastal island system. Among them, the most prominent is Hon Yen archipelago in An Hoa commune, Tuy An district. Here, when the tide recedes, a colorful coral reef will be revealed before the eyes of the viewer, creating a rare and fascinating sight in Vietnam.

About 4 km from the mainland in An Hoa Hai commune (Tuy An district), Cu Lao Mai Nha is known as the "Robinson Island" of Phu Yen because of its wild, pure and peaceful beauty. With an area of less than 1.5 km², the island is like a green dot in the middle of the vast ocean and sky, standing out with fine white sand, crystal clear water that can see the bottom, and layers of rocky cliffs that create a unique highlight for the landscape. Visitors to Cu Lao Mai Nha often choose to camp overnight, dive to see coral or kayak around the island. Campfire nights amidst the murmuring waves, the starry sky and the salty breeze from the open sea make the experience here especially unforgettable.

Mui Dien (Hoa Tam commune, Dong Hoa town) - the first place to welcome the sunlight in Vietnam.

Hon Chua is located not far from Long Thuy beach, the sea water is clear, suitable for SUP activities, diving to see coral, or simply immersing yourself in the vast ocean in a peaceful setting.

Further south is Hon Nua, the border between Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa. The island is like a “gem”, with long white sand beaches, lush green forests, turquoise sea water and cool air all year round. This is a favorite destination for young people who love to explore, trek, camp overnight, fish and watch the stars right on the pristine sand, experiencing a truly “slow living” space.

The beauty of Phu Yen’s sea and islands comes not only from the scenery but also from the lives of its people. The peaceful coastal fishing villages such as Long Thuy, Phu Thuong, Ganh Do, Vinh Hoa… all maintain their traditional way of life, where fishermen go out to sea at sunset and return every morning, where children’s laughter echoes with the sound of the waves. Fresh seafood dishes, simply prepared but rich in flavor such as grilled oysters with scallion oil, tuna eyes, seafood porridge, sea urchins… are indispensable flavors for every journey to explore this place.
