Commending outstanding Catholic dignitaries, officials and lay people in the movement of All People Protecting National Security

On August 28, in Bai Chay ward, Quang Ninh Provincial Police held a conference to meet and commend outstanding Catholic dignitaries, officials, and parishioners with achievements in the 13th National Movement for National Security Protection (ANTQ), period 2024-2025. Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Dung, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, chaired the conference.

In the past 2 years, the movement of the People to protect national security in parishes and religious communities has been maintained and developed. Many parishioners have taken on the role of village and ward chiefs, neighborhood guards, and are the core force in maintaining local security and order. The executive committees of parishes and religious communities have participated in self-management and reconciliation groups to resolve conflicts and unite religions; providing valuable information to the government and police forces in the fight against crime. Maintain and promote the effectiveness of models and movements of the People to protect national security and order in religious areas such as "5-no parish", "Peace of parish", "Security gong", etc.

The Provincial Police Department leaders awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Police Department Director to outstanding Catholic dignitaries, officials, and parishioners in the movement of All People Protecting National Security.

The movements of solidarity to help each other develop the economy , improve living standards, set an example in implementing democratic regulations and participating in building the government and organizations; participating in charitable and humanitarian activities are always effectively carried out by dignitaries, officials and Catholic followers in Quang Ninh province.

Through the conference, Catholic delegates were very excited and confident in the Party Committee, the government and the police force. At the same time, they affirmed that they would continue to make movements in the Catholic region grow, Catholics would strictly follow the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; actively develop the economy, reduce poverty, effectively carry out the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas - civilized urban areas", the movement "All people protect national security", raise vigilance against the plots of hostile forces and bad elements taking advantage of the "religious" issue to divide the great national unity bloc.

Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Dung, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, emphasized that in order to firmly consolidate the great national unity bloc and promote the active role of Catholics in the movement of all people protecting national security, priests, through pastoral activities, need to promptly grasp the legitimate aspirations of parishioners with the authorities at all levels, and mobilize parishioners to comply with the law. At the same time, effectively participate in the movement of All People Protecting National Security. For outstanding officials and parishioners, continue to promote the achievements, comply with policies and laws; do a good job of self-management in parishes and parishes; promptly detect activities that take advantage of religion and violations of the law to report to the authorities and the police force. Strengthen the mobilization of Catholics to promote economic development, improve material and spiritual life, and limit factors that hostile and reactionary forces can exploit to sabotage the State and divide the great national unity bloc.

The professional departments select and advise the provincial police leaders to report to the Ministry of Public Security on the model of the movement "All people protect national security" that is especially outstanding among the Catholics in Quang Ninh province to replicate on a national scale.

At the conference, the provincial police leaders awarded certificates of merit to 32 outstanding Catholic dignitaries, officials, and parishioners in the movement of All People Protecting National Security in the period of 2024-2025.
