Hoa Minzy and the appeal of patriotic music

MVs that spread national pride

As people across the country are looking forward to the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd with a spirit of gratitude, pride and excitement, a wave of patriotic music is surging strongly. Hundreds of artists have participated in a series of national concerts that have been taking place magnificently and exceptionally over the past few days. Others have invested in music products. A series of famous artists such as Trung Quan Idol, Tung Duong, Hoa Minzy... have released meaningful MVs. Works such as White Pearl, Vietnam - Stepping into the Future, Soaring Up to Vietnam, Pain in Peace, Nam Quoc Son Ha ... are not only melodies, but also stories, deep gratitude to the previous generation and aspirations to contribute to a prosperous Vietnam.

The "massive" participation of at least 20 singers of all ages and musical styles not only contributes to spreading the spirit of patriotism but also shows the desire to contribute of artists. Orange, Phuong My Chi, Muoi, Phao to Isaac, Toc Tien, Den, Dong Nhi, Ong Cao Thang, Ha Anh Tuan, Hong Nhung, My Tam, Hien Thuc... or veteran artists such as People's Artist Thanh Thuy, People's Artist Thanh Hoa, People's Artist Bach Tuyet... contribute their voices to the album. Each artist of a different age, generation, and musical genre is like a different color block creating a beautiful cultural picture.

On this occasion, Tung Duong also released 2 MVs, both of which were carefully invested in terms of image and content. In it, Continue the story of peace caused a fever throughout 2024 and was successfully performed by many singers such as Duyen Quynh, Vo Ha Tram, Dong Hung. With the new, heroic, and powerful version through the powerful voice of Tung Duong, the beautiful melody of Continue the story of peace The promise continues to echo everywhere.

It does not have a cheerful, vibrant melody like many songs with the same theme released at the same time, Pain in Peace has a slower, more profound rhythm. As Nguyen Van Chung explains, when the majority is following a vibrant style, he wants to exploit a more different angle, although sometimes this choice is picky about listeners.

The touching MV depicts the silent pain of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers over the past decades. That is the pain of losing husbands and children in the resistance war. Pain in Peace is one of five songs composed by Nguyen Van Chung on the occasion of National Day, September 2.

Hoa Minzy with Pain in Peace touched the hearts of audiences with the story of mothers and wives in the rear. Inspired by the Vietnamese Heroic Mother Dao Thi Vui and the battle of Quang Tri Citadel, the song by musician Nguyen Van Chung is a haunting ballad, depicting the silent pain of those who stayed behind. Hoa Minzy shared: "I want my music to ease the pain of sacrifices, and at the same time spread gratitude to the previous generation."

This MV reached 5.6 million views after 4 days of release. This number of views is large compared to the general music market, even larger when considering the topic of homeland and country. This number may come from Hoa Minzy's existing reputation after the success of the hit song. North Bling or it may actually come from the quality of the song. But that is not as important as having millions of people understand more about history, thereby arousing gratitude and determination to contribute.

Meanwhile, Continue the story of peace is no longer a new song, but when Tung Duong made the MV, it also received great attention. After only one day of release, the MV reached 1.1 million views along with many emotional confessions from the audience after following the footage that the crew worked hard to create.

The other MVs have not exploded in views, but they show the positive reception of the audience for topics that have long been considered to be selective. The most important thing is that the products all contribute to spreading the spirit of solidarity that has been preserved and promoted from generation to generation by the Vietnamese people.
