Binh Dinh spends more than 6 billion VND on agricultural vocational training for rural workers

TPO - Binh Dinh province plans to spend more than 6 billion VND to provide agricultural vocational training for about 2,000 rural workers.

On May 20, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province said that the province has a plan to provide agricultural vocational training for rural workers in the area by 2025.

The purpose is to meet the requirements of improving the quality of rural human resources, especially high-quality human resources in the agricultural sector, serving the construction of new rural areas and the requirements of socio -economic development in the province.

In particular, facilitate rural workers to participate in vocational training programs suitable to the needs, qualifications and orientation of agricultural and forestry development, job creation requirements, poverty reduction and labor restructuring in localities.

Accordingly, in 2025, vocational training in agriculture at the elementary level, training under 3 months for about 2,000 rural workers in the province. Estimated budget is 6.7 billion VND.

The subjects are rural workers who want to learn agricultural skills in the province. Priority is given to training rural workers participating in raw material areas; workers from ethnic minority and mountainous areas; workers from poor households, near-poor households, and newly escaped poverty households; low-income workers and workers from other policy subjects according to regulations.

The locality will focus on training rural workers to effectively implement the labor criteria in the New Rural Criteria; training for social security and socio-economic development in poor areas, ethnic minorities, and mountainous areas; training high-quality human resources to serve smart agricultural production, ecological and organic agriculture, and digital transformation in agriculture; training for career conversion; transferring a part of rural workers to service agriculture, serving the restructuring of the agricultural sector and responding to climate change, creating more jobs, creating positive and clearer changes in career conversion, creating more jobs, and increasing income for agricultural workers.

Training to enhance the value of key products, develop OCOP products; train workers to know how to apply information technology, apply good, advanced, high-tech production processes, organic agriculture, safety, adapt to climate change; train to improve skills in management, marketing administration, finance and know how to build production plans to meet the requirements of domestic and export markets.

Training occupations are implemented according to the list, framework program, cost norms for agricultural vocational training and economic-technical norms for elementary-level occupations and vocational training under 3 months applied in the field of vocationaleducation in Binh Dinh province issued by the Provincial People's Committee.

The leaders of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Education and Training, relevant agencies, units and localities to organize the implementation of the plan.
