Raising awareness about antibiotic resistance
Antibiotic Awareness Week, taking place from November 18-24, is a global campaign launched by the World Health Organization (WHO), with the aim of encouraging appropriate antibiotic use practices and preventing antibiotic resistance.
Antibiotic resistance causes bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites to no longer respond to treatment, making it difficult to treat infections. Antibiotic resistance is considered one of the biggest threats to global health today.
The strong implementation of Antibiotic Resistance Awareness Week in Vietnam helps people understand the importance of using antibiotics properly. At the same time, this campaign also aims to promote cooperation in the health sector according to the “One Health” approach (human, animal and environmental health).

At the same time, it organizes international conferences, funds education and research on intestinal microorganisms to disseminate knowledge to professionals and the community.
