South Korean girl group BLACKPINK has set a Guinness World Record for the most viewed music channel on YouTube, YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK's management company, confirmed on April 18.
According to Yonhap news agency, YG Entertainment said that as of April 10, BLACKPINK's official YouTube channel has reached 30 billion views, breaking the record held by "pop prince" Justin Bieber for the past 13 years. The YouTube channel of this famous girl group reached 30 billion views after about 6 years and 9 months since its establishment.
BLACKPINK also made history recently after their YouTube channel became the most subscribed music channel, with 86.9 million subscribers. Previously, BLACKPINK set records for the most streamed girl group on Spotify in the world and the first Korean girl group to reach No. 1 on the UK and US album charts.
BLACKPINK currently holds 21 Guinness World Records. With these impressive achievements, the four beautiful girls of BLACKPINK have solidified their position as one of the most successful and influential groups not only in Korea but also globally.
