South Korean company YG Entertainment announced on May 26 that the world-famous girl group BlackPink will return with a full lineup of 4 members and a new song this year.
This is definitely the information that the BLINK community (BlackPink's fandom name) is looking forward to after nearly 3 years of the group's absence from the stage.
Yang Hyun Suk, founder and executive producer of YG Entertainment, made the announcement in a video posted on the company's official blog.
He confirmed that the company "will soon announce information about BlackPink's new song," but did not reveal a specific release date.
This event will mark the full comeback of Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé since their second studio album "Born Pink" released in September 2022.
BlackPink's only exception recently was the release of "The Girls" - an original soundtrack for a video game.
Not only new music products, BlackPink is also preparing for a grand world tour called "Deadline."
The first performances will be in Goyang, northwest of Seoul, on July 5 and 6. With the ability to create global hits and strong appeal on international stages, BlackPink's comeback promises to "storm" all charts and delight fans everywhere./.
