The Vision Alpina is a 2+2 coupe powered by a V8 engine, boasting a length of up to 5.2 meters, comparable to the Rolls-Royce Wraith. Although there are no plans for commercialization yet, this concept car is considered a "design statement" for the next generation of the Alpina product line.

According to Autocar , this model is positioned higher than all current BMW models but still below the Rolls-Royce brand within the same group.
This also marks the first time BMW has clearly revealed the development direction of Alpina since completing the acquisition earlier this year. According to the plan, the first commercial Alpina model, based on the BMW 7 Series platform, will be launched in 2027 and deliveries will begin in early 2028.

Maximilian Missoni, head of design for BMW's luxury and mid-size vehicle group, stated that the Alpina's 60-year legacy is preserved with utmost care. The iconic 1978 Alpina B7 Turbo served as the direct inspiration for the Vision Alpina.

The exterior of the concept model retains many of Alpina's signature details, such as the multi-spoke wheels, the front spoiler with integrated Alpina lettering, and the quad exhaust system at the rear.
The Deko Set decorative stripes have also been redesigned in a more minimalist style and will be hand-painted onto commercial vehicles instead of being applied as decals as before.

The cabin is a standout feature, boasting a large amount of premium Lavalina leather, an elaborate ambient interior lighting system, natural wood trim, and numerous crafted metal details inspired by high-end mechanical watches.

BMW says the future Alpina's level of luxury will aim to compete directly with Mercedes-Maybach and Range Rover, while maintaining the exclusivity of Ferrari.
The Vision Alpina uses a front-mounted, longitudinally mounted V8 engine. Although BMW has not yet released full specifications, many sources suggest that the first production Alpina will likely use a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 engine, without hybrid integration, and specifically tuned for the brand.

Oliver Viellechner, the new director of Alpina, believes that the segment the brand is targeting still has a lot of potential. He cited the example of one in two Mercedes S-Class cars sold in China being a Maybach version, which also demonstrates BMW's ambition for the Alpina brand.

In the past, a BMW executive revealed that, alongside the 7 Series, the BMW X7 would be the next product to be developed into an Alpina variant.

In addition to internal combustion engine vehicles, Alpina executives said the company is also researching a high-performance electric vehicle. However, in the initial phase, the focus of development will remain on vehicles using traditional engines.
