Politburo announces health status of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

The Politburo assigned Mr. To Lam, Politburo member and President, to preside over the work of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat according to the responsibilities and powers prescribed by the Politburo.

Recently, at the request of the Central Council of Experts on Health Protection for Officials, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has been both managing work and receiving treatment and health care.

The Politburo, the Secretariat, key leaders and the Standing Member of the Secretariat have directly directed specialized agencies to focus on mobilizing a team of professors, doctors, medical staff, leading experts and the most favorable conditions to treat and care for the General Secretary's health.

Up to now, due to the need to continue to prioritize time for the General Secretary to focus on active treatment and to ensure the general management of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, based on the Working Regulations of the 13th Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, the Politburo has assigned Comrade To Lam, Politburo member and President, to preside over the work of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat according to the responsibilities and powers prescribed by the Politburo.
