The Ministry of Public Security 's assessment exam for university admissions will take place on July 6-7, after the high school graduation exam.
On April 8, the Ministry of Public Security announced that this year's assessment test for admission to eight police schools will consist of two parts: multiple choice and essay, and will take 180 minutes, similar to last year. Candidates will choose one of two exam codes, CA1 and CA2. The multiple choice part of the two codes is the same, the essay part of CA1 is Math and CA2 is Literature.
Candidates who register for admission to a school will take the exam at that school. The score of this exam is combined with the high school graduation exam score at a ratio of 60-40 and converted to a 30-point scale for admission. This method helps to recruit 80% of the total of more than 2,100 targets this year.
The formula for calculating admission scores to police schools is as follows:
Admission score = Total score of three graduation exams *2/5 + Assessment score *3/5 + Priority points according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training + Bonus points for excellent students at the national level.
Police schools also conduct direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministryof Education and Training and the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security, considering a combination of foreign language certificates and high school academic results.
With the combined examination method, candidates need to have three years of excellent high school education, in which the average score of foreign language subjects is 8.5 or higher, and have an international certificate with the following scores:
Foreign language | Certificate Name | Minimum score required |
English | IELTS (Academic) | 7.5 |
TOEFL iBT | 110 | |
Chinese | HSK | Level 5 |
Spanish | DELE | C1 |
French | DELF | C1 |
Russian | TRKI | 3 |
German | C1 | |
Japanese | JLPT | N1 |
Korean | TOPIK II | Level 4 |
Italian | CELI | 4 |
Regarding the quota, the People's Police Academy recruits the most (530 students), followed by the People's Security Academy (510). The International Academy only recruits 50 students.
Specific criteria for each method are as follows ( method 1 is direct admission, method 2 is combined international certificate consideration, method 3 is assessment test scores and graduation exam scores ):
