Ministry of Public Security supports Kon Tum province with 84 billion VND to eliminate temporary houses

(Dan Tri) - The Ministry of Public Security has just supported 84 billion VND for Kon Tum province to build new houses and repair 1,400 temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.


On March 28, in Dak Bla commune, Kon Tum city, Kon Tum province, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Steering Committee for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province to organize a launching ceremony to build houses for poor households and households with housing difficulties in the Central Highlands provinces.

Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, said that the Ministry has mobilized resources from officers and soldiers to contribute to the program, responding to the Government 's policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

To date, the Ministry of Public Security has supported 362 billion VND to Gia Lai and Cao Bang provinces to implement this program.

Continuing this meaningful program, the Ministry of Public Security mobilized and handed over 84 billion VND to help Kon Tum province eliminate 1,400 temporary and dilapidated houses.

Lieutenant General Pham The Tung emphasized that the Party and State always pay attention to socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Central Highlands region, especially improving the material and spiritual life of ethnic minorities.

The Ministry of Public Security pledges to closely coordinate with the Central Highlands provinces to continue mobilizing support from philanthropists, vigorously implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc under the leadership of the Party.

Kon Tum province currently has 2,752 temporary and dilapidated houses that need to be repaired or rebuilt. To date, the province has eliminated 1,776 temporary and dilapidated houses with support of 60 million VND/new house and 30 million VND/repaired house.

Despite many difficulties due to limited local budget, Kon Tum aims to eliminate 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses by June 2025 using various resources.
