Ministry of Industry and Trade supports Binh Duong in connecting sellers with e-commerce platforms

At the 2023 Conference on Connecting Sellers and E-commerce Platforms organized by the Department of Industry and Trade of Binh Duong province in Binh Duong recently, the Center for Information Technology and Digital Technology, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) supported the connection of e-commerce platforms, platform providers and e-commerce support services to encourage businesses to apply e-commerce in production and business activities; promote e-commerce transactions, support the expansion of consumption markets for the province's key products.

At the Conference, businesses, cooperatives, production and trading units, distribution systems, etc. had the opportunity to meet directly, exchange, learn about products, connect, cooperate in trade, and expand markets. This not only helps increase sales opportunities but also promotes the formation of strategic business relationships with partners in the region. This is also an opportunity for localities in the Southeast region in general and Binh Duong province in particular to support key export groups, introduce and promote typical brands, products, goods and services, and strengths in developing domestic and international markets.

According to Ms. Phan Thi Khanh Duyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Binh Duong province, digital transformation has become an inevitable trend and is a development priority of Binh Duong province. In recent times, closely following the policies of the Party and the State, the direction of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, with the support and close coordination from relevant departments, branches and sectors, along with the proactive initiative of the entire sector, the Department of Industry and Trade of Binh Duong, with the spirit of taking people as the center and convenience, has been implementing e-commerce applications to create convenience for service users.

At the Conference, representatives of e-commerce platforms also shared, introduced and guided businesses on product distribution skills, application of multi-channel sales management solutions, product selection criteria, digital capacity building, innovative business strategies, digital transformation application solutions in the prevention and fight against counterfeit goods, etc.

Guiding the process for sellers to participate from installation, account creation, product posting and sales channel management on Shopee e-commerce platform for delegates attending the conference, Shopee e-commerce platform representative, Ms. Nguyen Le Ly Na also mentioned the notes to set up an effective booth such as designing a good quality cover photo, using a monochrome background, limiting the use of patterns, using an effective layout to highlight product images, not inserting information into the default positions that Shopee will use to label.
