The event was organized by the Import-Export Department ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) in coordination with the People's Committee of Gia Lai province to implement Resolution No. 163/NQ-CP dated December 16, 2022 of the Government on promoting the synchronous implementation of key tasks and solutions to improve competitiveness and develop Vietnam's logistics services.
At the same time, promote the development of the logistics system, creating favorable conditions to promote trade, services and export of goods in Gia Lai province.

According to the plan, on October 23, the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai will send a working delegation to conduct a field survey at Le Thanh border gate; survey the location of the logistics center planning in Gia Lai.
On the morning of October 24, the Conference "Implementing solutions to develop logistics services in Gia Lai province" will take place.
At the conference, delegates will discuss the current status of logistics, import-export and e-commerce development in the province; discuss solutions and guidelines for regulations, policies and development orientations for infrastructure and logistics services business activities; orientations and solutions to support and encourage the development of logistics services in Gia Lai province.
Previously, on May 17, 2023, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province issued Plan No. 1130/KH-UBND on developing logistics services in the province for the period 2023 - 2025, with a vision to 2030.
The plan aims to build and develop logistics services, promote production development, boost the circulation of goods, develop traditional trade, international trade and e-commerce, strengthen regional connectivity and international integration.
Applying new technologies in developing logistics services, enhancing human resource training; supporting businesses to develop logistics in a modern and professional direction to ensure competitiveness in the market.
Developing logistics infrastructure in sync with transport infrastructure and trade and service infrastructure, making Gia Lai an important logistics hub of the region.
To implement, the plan focuses on 5 main groups of tasks including: Completing the management mechanism and developing logistics activities; developing logistics service infrastructure; improving the investment environment and supporting the improvement of business capacity and service quality; training and improving the quality of human resources; promoting and raising awareness of the importance of logistics services for the country's development.
