On June 9, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien worked with a specialized inspection team to direct the implementation of inspection work of EVN and related units in the management and supply of electricity, in accordance with the content of the Prime Minister's telegram.
Minister Nguyen Hong Dien directed and assigned tasks to the specialized inspection team of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Specifically, the specialized inspection team of the Ministry of Industry and Trade includes leaders of the ministry's units, including: Electricity Regulatory Authority, Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority, Department of Industrial Safety Techniques and Environment, Legal Department, Ministry Inspectorate, Department of Planning - Finance, Department of Oil, Gas and Coal.
Starting tomorrow, June 10, the delegation will begin inspecting EVN's legal regulations on electricity management and supply from January 1, 2021 to June 1, 2023. The inspection period will last 30 days, including holidays.
At the working session with the inspection delegation, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien said that in recent days there have been power supply interruptions affecting business production and people's lives.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade, in its role as state manager, has issued many directive documents and held many meetings since the end of 2022 regarding this year's electricity supply, such as the chart of coal, oil, and gas supply for electricity production and the electricity supply plan.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has directed strongly in implementing the supply of coal for electricity generation of thermal power plants, contributing to improving the electricity supply situation.
However, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien also emphasized that for any reason to cause a power shortage, it is necessary to clarify the cause and find a solution to overcome it in the coming time.
Mr. Dien requested the inspection team to clarify the supply and proactive provision of fuel for power plants; operation of the power system; mobilization of power sources (technically), fairness; power transmission issues; and implementation of mobilization of transitional renewable energy sources.
The Minister of Industry and Trade assigned Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan to directly lead the inspection and requested the members of the delegation to focus on and prioritize work; work continuously, even on holidays, to ensure progress, quality and results of the inspection.
