Quang Ninh Border Guard launches campaign to support the Cuban people.

On September 15th, the Border Guard Command of Quang Ninh province organized a ceremony to launch a campaign to support the Cuban people. This meaningful activity is in response to the campaign to support the Cuban people with the theme: "65 years of Vietnam-Cuba friendship" organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba on December 2nd (1960-2025).

Sixty-five years ago, Cuba was a pioneer in establishing diplomatic relations with Vietnam, and also led international movements to support Vietnam's national liberation and nation-building efforts.

Over the past 65 years, the special, loyal, and friendly relationship between the two countries has become a shining symbol of international solidarity, based on the shared ideals of independence, freedom, and socialism.

Colonel Vu Van Hung, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command, launched the fundraising campaign.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Colonel Vu Van Hung, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command, emphasized the significance of the program. Currently, the Cuban people are facing many difficulties, especially children, the elderly, and vulnerable groups, due to the prolonged impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters.

Officers from the Quang Ninh Border Guard Command donated funds to be sent as a gift to the people of Cuba.

In response to the "65 Years of Vietnam-Cuba Friendship" campaign launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society , officers and soldiers of the Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard have donated a portion of their salaries and allowances to share the difficulties faced by the Cuban people.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, all officers and soldiers of the Border Guard Force of Quang Ninh province donated a total of over 180 million VND. The entire amount will be reported by the Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard Command to the Border Guard Command Headquarters for consolidation and delivery to the Cuban people.
