Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training said that in recent days, many announcements have appeared on social networks related to English scholarship programs that are said to be "announcements from the Ministry of Education and Training", implemented by "the Ministry of Education and Training"...
Specifically, these articles spread information that the Ministry of Education and Training is implementing an English scholarship fund, supporting up to 80% of tuition fees for IELTS, communication, TOEIC courses... with the aim of quickly implementing the internationalization project of education in Vietnam.
Information circulating on social networks emphasized that the program was sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Training in conjunction with funding funds such as DePaul University English Language Training Institute, Aberystwyth University - UK, Flinders University - Australia..., along with a series of accompanying newspapers.
The articles require those who want to study to log in to the links to fill out scholarship review information.

The Ministry of Education and Training confirmed that the information spread above is completely fake and said that the ministry did not implement or coordinate the organization of the above programs and activities.
The Ministry of Education and Training also recommends that parents, students, and people pay attention, learn and receive information from the Ministry's official channels such as the Information Portal and Fanpage.
Previously, in January 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training also issued a warning about forging the seal and signature of the Ministry of Education and Training's leaders to defraud scholarships from Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
This fake document states that Hanoi University of Science and Technology will consider five scholarships, worth $30,000 each, for students. In addition to personal documents, the document requires students who want to apply for the scholarship to have a certificate of assets, financial guarantee, and bank statement (according to the form).
Recently, a series of universities such as the National Economics University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology, University of Natural Sciences (VNU-HCMC), Foreign Trade University, FPT University, etc. have continuously issued warnings to students to protect themselves from the current sophisticated forms of fraud on the internet and many other forms, including the use of fake documents of organizations, individuals, and fake documents of schools.
Fraud often appears in the form of announcements of students winning scholarships, fake information about international student exchange meetings, etc. To participate in these programs, scammers require students to prove their financial ability, specifically needing hundreds of millions of dong in their bank accounts.
Universities recommend that students follow the school's official information channels online (website, Facebook, TikTok...), research and verify information as accurately and completely as possible, to avoid being taken advantage of by bad actors.
