At the ceremony, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Organization Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Ngo Hong Yen presented the decision of the Standing Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee appointing journalist Pham Thanh Mieng, Head of the Electronic Newspaper Department of An Giang Newspaper, to hold the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of An Giang Newspaper, with a term of appointment of 5 years.

Speaking at the ceremony, the new Deputy Editor-in-Chief of An Giang Newspaper, Pham Thanh Mieng, thanked the Standing Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee for entrusting him with the new responsibility. At the same time, he expressed his gratitude to the comrades in the Editorial Board, former leaders and generations of colleagues of An Giang Newspaper for their support and help during his work at An Giang Newspaper.

Journalist Pham Thanh Mieng promised to continue to make efforts, overcome difficulties, to contribute to building a team of journalists of An Giang Newspaper who are united and skilled in their profession. At the same time, he will advise the Editor-in-Chief to perform well the role of the voice of the Party Committee, government and people of An Giang, as well as maintain the achievements that have been made, and have solutions for An Giang Newspaper to achieve new successes.
