
At the meeting, 105 gifts (each worth 1 million VND) supported by the family of Professor, Doctor Nguyen Minh Tuan, Honorary President of the Association for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Spirituality of Vietnam, were given to war invalids and sick soldiers.
Chairwoman of Nam Phu Commune People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen emphasized that, promoting the local revolutionary tradition, generations of young people in the capital, including thousands of outstanding children of Nam Phu Commune, enthusiastically joined the army to fight the enemy, fought bravely on all battlefields, and together with the army and people of the whole country, made glorious achievements.
Through the nation's long marches, more than 300 martyrs heroically sacrificed on the battlefields, 47 wounded soldiers left part of their blood and bones on the front lines; hundreds of sick soldiers, demobilized soldiers, and youth volunteers returned with the after-effects of the wars; heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, and sick soldiers devoted their youth to the country...

The Party Committee, government and people of Nam Phu commune today always respect and remember the contributions of heroic martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the cause of national liberation and protection of the Fatherland; always consider the care and implementation of policies for people with meritorious services as an important and regular political task of the Party Committee, government, departments, branches and local organizations. The work of resolving the regimes and policies of the Party and State for people with meritorious services is always fully and promptly implemented.
The leaders of Nam Phu commune hope that families with meritorious services will continue to promote their revolutionary qualities, be shining examples to educate the younger generation about the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of overcoming difficulties and loyalty; at the same time, affirm that the Party Committee and local authorities will continue to pay close attention, promptly support and take better care of the material and spiritual life of policy beneficiaries, creating conditions for those with meritorious services to live happily, live healthily and have more conditions to contribute to the community.
