From the beginning of July 2025, the atmosphere at Electric Connector Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Yen Phong Industrial Park Expansion) was bustling with the Sports Tournament to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union. The event attracted more than 100 athletes who were workers from the workshops, participating in many sports such as football, table tennis, badminton, chess, tug of war... The matches were arranged during the off-hours and weekends, ensuring both health and convenience for workers to participate.

In addition to investing in modern equipment systems and ensuring safety, the Company pays special attention to the rights of workers. The Executive Board of the Trade Union has proactively coordinated with the Company's Board of Directors to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements with more favorable terms than the regulations. These efforts not only better protect workers' rights but also contribute to building a fair and friendly working environment.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, a worker at Electric Connector Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd., shared: “I have worked at the Company for more than a year and clearly feel the care from the management as well as the trade union. Not only does the company create good working conditions, it also takes good care of the workers' lives. With a stable income of 9 - 11 million VND per month, I can take care of my family. I really hope to be with the Company for a long time.”
Also on this occasion, at Cedo Vietnam Limited Company (Dai Dong - Hoan Son Industrial Park), a series of activities to care for workers were implemented by the union. The highlight was the "Union Meal" program with 1,650 meals, each worth 145 thousand VND, carefully prepared, full of nutrition, and served directly to workers. Not only was it a delicious meal, but it was also an opportunity for leaders, union officials and workers to sit together and share stories of everyday life. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Cedo Vietnam Limited Liability Company, said: "Every year, the grassroots trade union strives to innovate the content and form of activities to practically care for union members and workers. This year, in addition to the "Union Meal", the trade union also organized a lucky draw program with 270 gifts, totaling 31 million VND; at the same time, visited and gave gifts to children of war invalids, sick soldiers, families with preferential policies and workers in difficult circumstances".
With 1,300 workers, 100% of whom are union members, Cedo Vietnam Limited Company always pays attention to implementing social security policies through collective labor agreements and union policies. All employees are covered by social insurance and health insurance after signing labor contracts, purchase 24/7 accident insurance; receive periodic health check-ups, occupational disease check-ups, full labor protection equipment, gifts on holidays and Tet, and 13th month salary bonuses. In addition, the Company organizes many cultural, sports, tourism, and contests (cooking, flower arrangement, baking, etc.) to improve the spiritual life of employees.
Due to the nature of production, female workers account for more than 40%, the company does not arrange for female workers who are pregnant from the 26th week or are raising children under 12 months to work night shifts, work overtime or go on business trips; at the same time, it provides rooms for expressing and storing milk for women. However, in response to some legitimate wishes of female workers that have not been met, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union has proactively discussed and proposed to the Company's leaders and was approved to expand benefits such as: Expanding the break room for women during meal times, improving the cooling system at the workplace, etc.
Companionship in work and life
Through a recent survey and understanding of the business situation at enterprises, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor highly appreciated the representative and companion role of grassroots trade unions in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers. Many typical models of activities were recognized such as grassroots trade unions: Bac Giang LGG Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company, Luxshare-ICT Van Trung Limited Liability Company, Fuyu Precision Technology Limited Liability Company, Goerteck Vina Limited Liability Company, Yonz Technology Vietnam Limited Liability Company, Dreamtech Vietnam Limited Liability Company, etc.
Currently, the province has 2,211 enterprise-based trade unions with nearly 537,000 union members. In recent times, under the close guidance of the Provincial Federation of Labor and the direct superior trade unions, the grassroots trade unions have been flexible and proactive in organizing many practical activities with the motto of "taking union members as the center". Up to now, the province has 1,656/2,211 (75%) enterprises with trade unions organizing negotiations and signing collective labor agreements, ensuring better rights for workers. |
Currently, the province has 2,211 enterprise-based trade unions with nearly 537,000 union members. In recent times, under the close guidance of the Provincial Federation of Labor and the direct superior trade unions, the grassroots trade unions have been flexible and proactive in organizing many practical activities with the motto of "taking union members as the center". To create harmony in labor relations, the grassroots trade unions have proactively coordinated to organize dialogues between employees and employers; advised and proposed to enterprises to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements. To date, the province has 1,656/2,211 (75%) enterprises with trade unions organizing negotiations and signing collective labor agreements, ensuring better rights for employees.
At the same time, the propaganda and dissemination of labor laws and new policies of the State have also been implemented synchronously and effectively, helping workers improve their understanding and protect their legitimate rights. Emulation movements such as "Good workers, creative workers", "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene" are increasingly spreading strongly among workers. Thousands of topics and initiatives have been researched and applied in practice, contributing to improving productivity, quality and bringing significant benefits to businesses. Cultural and sports activities, the "Tet Sum Vay" program, "Worker's Month", rewarding initiatives, timely support for workers in difficulty... are all implemented with a sense of responsibility and deep understanding.
These practical activities and companionship have contributed to affirming the increasingly solid role and position of the trade union in the hearts of workers. The trade union is not only a place to protect rights but also a common home, where workers put their trust, find sharing, companionship and feel secure in long-term commitment.
