Hanoi City Labor Federation supports people in natural disaster areas with 100 million VND

On the morning of November 24, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) in Hanoi, the Hanoi Confederation of Labor (VGCL) presented VND100 million to support people in the Central and Central Highlands regions who are suffering heavy losses due to storms and floods.

This is a source of funding drawn from the Social Fund of the City Labor Federation together with contributions from officials, civil servants and employees of the City Labor Federation.

Previously, responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the City Labor Confederation organized a fundraising campaign to support people in disaster areas.

At the program, all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers contributed at least one day's salary to share the difficulties with people in severely affected localities.

Speaking at the program, comrade Le Dinh Hung, Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Confederation informed about the severe damage that storms and floods are causing to the Central and Central Highlands provinces. “Many localities are struggling to bear great losses in terms of human lives and property. These losses require the spirit of solidarity and unity of the whole country, as well as timely support from all levels of the Capital Labor Union,” he shared.

According to comrade Le Dinh Hung, the City Labor Federation has directed Trade Unions at all levels, from communes, wards, Industrial Parks, High-Tech Parks to grassroots Trade Unions to widely deploy support activities. The spirit of "Mutual love and affection", "Hanoi for the whole country - Hanoi with the whole country" has been strongly promoted, becoming a driving force to spread community affection and responsibility.

All donations will be transferred to the "Relief" Fund account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City (Account number: 1500201113838, at Agribank Hanoi Branch), to provide emergency support to flood victims to help them overcome difficulties, restore production and stabilize their lives.
