Ministry of Interior talks about bonuses for receiving Medals

Mr. Hoang Minh Hai ( Lang Son ) learned that according to the provisions of the 2022 Law on Emulation and Commendation, individuals awarded a commemorative medal by the Ministry will receive a bonus not exceeding 0.6 times the base salary.

"So, is the commemorative medal awarded by the Ministry of Justice for the judicial career eligible for the bonus level according to the Law on Emulation and Commendation?" - Mr. Hai wondered.

Regarding the reflection and recommendation of Mr. Hoang Minh Hai, the Ministry of Home Affairs has responded on the Electronic Information Portal.

Accordingly, regarding the responsibility for paying rewards, Clause 4, Article 11 of the Law on Emulation and Commendation stipulates: The person who decides on the commendation is responsible for paying rewards from the emulation and commendation fund managed by his/her level.

Regarding the bonus level at Point d Clause 1 Article 58 Decree No. 98/2023/ND-CP dated December 31, 2023 of the Government stipulates as follows: Individuals who are awarded the Commemorative Medal of a ministry, department, branch, province, political organization, socio-political organization, socio-political-professional organization, social organization, socio-professional organization with a party organization or a party organization under the Party Committee of the central agencies are awarded a Certificate, frame, Commemorative Medal, Commemorative Medal Box and accompanied by a bonus level not exceeding 0.6 times the basic salary.
