Don - "little elephant" in the form of a lonely boy
Jumbo revolves around Don, a 10-year-old orphan boy, often called “Jumbo” by his friends because of his chubby body and shy personality. Don’s isolated life changes when he accidentally discovers a book of fairy tales left by his parents and meets Meri, a magical little fairy.
Together, Don and Meri enter a fantasy world where lessons of courage, friendship and self-worth are revealed. Jumbo’s world is not just for children, it is a space where adults can reflect on themselves too: forgotten wounds, set aside dreams and the desire to be recognized.
“We don’t just make animated films. We tell local stories with global aspirations,” said Anggia Kharisma, producer of Jumbo.
