( Bqp.vn ) - On October 10-11, the Ministry of National Defense's working delegation led by Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Head of the Ministry of National Defense's Steering Committee 1389, inspected the results of the implementation of 1389 work and compliance with the law, discipline, and combat readiness of the Provincial Military Command (CHQS) and the Border Guard Command of Long An province.

The report shows that the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, the State's policies and laws on military and defense tasks have been thoroughly grasped; the direction of the Steering Committee 1389 of the Ministry of National Defense, the Military Region 7 Command, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Long An Province, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command have strictly implemented the work of fighting against crimes and law violations, promoting propaganda and education work, creating unity in awareness and actions of officers and soldiers, contributing to the completion of assigned tasks. The provincial military strictly maintains the regimes, rules and regulations to ensure absolute safety in all aspects during important events of the country and the Army.
The Provincial Military Command has focused on building a strong enough standing force, prioritizing ensuring the number of troops for units performing combat readiness tasks, preventing and fighting natural disasters, epidemics, and searching, rescuing, and saving lives. The militia and self-defense force is organized according to the motto "strong and widespread"; focusing on building militia forces in border communes, along river mouths to the sea. The reserve mobilization force is built according to the motto "elite, compact, strong".
