More than 3,200 quotas added to grade 10 in Hanoi

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has just decided to assign more than 3,200 additional 10th grade quotas to 5 schools in the city.

According to the decision of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, 5 secondary and college schools were assigned to add 3,240 cultural study quotas to the regular high schooleducation program, including:

All students who have completed secondary school in Hanoi can apply. The training method is vocational education at intermediate level combined with cultural studies of the regular education program at high school level.

Students studying the general education program of high school level who meet the requirements according to regulations are eligible to register to take the high school graduation exam.

The entrance exam for grade 10 in Hanoi took place on June 7-8 with nearly 103,000 candidates, the largest number in the country. According to the Department of Education and Training, at least 64% of students had places to study, equivalent to more than 81,000 students. This is the first year the exam follows the new general education program, so the content and structure of the exam have changed a lot.

Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said that the Department will organize the exam marking from June 9 to 22 with experienced and responsible teachers participating in this stage. He also affirmed that there will be no situation of "loose marking or strict marking", but will comply with the marking scale to ensure fairness for candidates.

It is expected that around July 4-6, the Department will simultaneously announce the exam scores and grade 10 benchmark scores. Successful candidates will confirm their enrollment from July 10 to 12.
