
Accordingly, the copper mineral areas in Lao Cai province included in the Planning for exploration, exploitation, processing and use of minerals for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision 866/QD-TTg dated July 18, 2023, are added to the list of areas not subject to auction of mineral exploitation rights under the licensing authority of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment .

Specifically, adding the expanded copper mining area at Sin Quyen mine, located in Ban Vuoc and Coc My communes (Bat Xat district) with an area of 585.8 hectares and the copper mining area in the Southeast of Sin Quyen mine located in Ban Vuoc and Coc My communes (Bat Xat district) with an area of 385.5 hectares to the list of areas not auctioning mineral exploitation rights for TKV Mineral Corporation - JSC (Vimico).

Add the expanded area, deep mining copper ore at Ta Phoi mine in Ta Phoi commune ( Lao Cai city) with an area of 407.3 hectares to the area where mineral exploitation rights are not auctioned for Ta Phoi Copper Joint Stock Company - Vinacomin.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee are fully responsible to the Prime Minister for the accuracy of the reported information and data. On that basis, coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to grant mineral exploitation licenses without auctioning mineral exploitation rights for mineral areas in accordance with the provisions of law.
