According to the report at the meeting, the 2025 high school graduation exam in Gia Lai will take place at 42 testing locations, located in all 17 districts, towns and cities in the province. It is expected that 16,206 candidates will register for the exam, a sharp increase compared to last year.
Mobilizing more than 4,500 people to participate in organizing the exam
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich, Vice Chairwoman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, said that the province has directed departments, branches and localities to implement many solutions to ensure the successful organization of this year's high school graduation exam.
Accordingly, the Gia Lai Department of Education and Training has mobilized 4,502 people, including managers, teachers, staff and workers to participate in the organization of the exam. Preparations for facilities and equipment at the exam sites have been underway for many months.
Notably, schools in the area have developed detailed teaching and review plans to improve exam quality. The province has also organized mock exams to help students get familiar with the exam structure and make a preliminary assessment of their abilities.

Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has directed a thorough review of the list of students from poor, near-poor, disadvantaged households or those living far from the exam site to develop a plan to support funding and accommodation, creating the most favorable conditions for them to take the exam.
However, according to provincial leaders, the locality still faces some difficulties due to many new points in the content and method of the exam, the number of candidates is increasing rapidly, many students register for diverse combinations of elective subjects. In addition, the province still lacks a team of management staff and teachers to serve the exam, especially in remote areas.
Must proactively have backup human resources
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Nguyen Kim Son highly appreciated Gia Lai province's careful preparation for the upcoming high school graduation exam. He said that through on-site inspection, all stages of organization were carried out seriously, in which the location for printing and copying exam papers ensured safety and confidentiality in accordance with regulations.

Minister Nguyen Kim Son noted: "The province needs to proactively have reserve human resources, especially in the context of many tasks assigned by the Central Government. In addition, before, during and after the exam, it is necessary to regularly discuss with the Exam Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training to have timely instructions when situations arise."
Concerns about teachers' tendency to move away from difficult areas when organizing a 2-level model
Regarding the merger ofeducational institutions according to the restructuring policy, Minister Nguyen Kim Son suggested that in the current period, Gia Lai province should maintain the status quo. After stabilizing the apparatus, it should re-evaluate and have an adjustment plan according to general guidelines.
Minister Nguyen Kim Son also expressed concern about the tendency of teachers to move away from disadvantaged areas after the government organized them into a two-tier model. Therefore, the local education sector needs to proactively listen to teachers’ concerns and forecast changes in order to avoid local surpluses and shortages in the workforce.
