On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, on the morning of January 17, a working delegation of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) led by Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong visited and presented Tet gifts to poor households in Quang Trung commune, Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province. This is an annual activity, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and sharing difficulties with compatriots, especially during the traditional Tet holiday of the nation.
Quang Trung Commune currently has 100 poor households, many of whom are facing major challenges in life. At the ceremony, the delegation of the Ministry of Information and Communications presented 100 Tet gifts, each worth 1 million VND, including cash and essential necessities such as blankets, fish sauce, cooking oil, MSG, etc. In addition, 5 special gifts, each worth 10 million VND, were sent to households in particularly difficult circumstances such as dilapidated houses or members with chronic diseases.
The Ministry of Information and Communications also presented 04 tablets to Quang Trung Secondary School and 01 tablet to Tran Thi Minh Anh, a 9B student of the school. Minh Anh is a typical example of learning, having continuously achieved the title of excellent student for 9 years, winning many high awards in district and provincial competitions. These gifts not only have the meaning of encouragement, but also provide practical support to help students have more conditions to study in the digital transformation era.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized: Lunar New Year is an occasion for every Vietnamese person to turn to their family and homeland. However, for a part of the population that still faces many difficulties, Tet is also a time of worries and concerns. With the spirit of "mutual love", today's program is organized to share some of the burden, bring a little warmth and encouragement to the families with many difficulties in Quang Trung commune.
This program is implemented in the spirit of Directive No. 40-CT/TW of the Secretariat and Directive No. 45/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister. This is a clear demonstration of the deep concern of the Party and State for disadvantaged households, and at the same time demonstrates the efforts of the Ministry of Information and Communications in spreading the value of "love" and building a fair and civilized society.
Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong called on agencies, units, businesses and individuals to continue joining hands and contributing to help those in difficult circumstances. Small but meaningful actions will contribute to making great changes, bringing hope to everyone in the new spring.
Over the years, the Ministry of Information and Communications has maintained this activity in many provinces and cities across the country.
