The training course had 68 trainees who were officials and civil servants of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; lecturers of the Provincial Political School; reporters and editors of Lai Chau Newspaper and Radio and Television; teachers of literature at Doan Ket and Tan Phong wards' high schools and secondary schools; officials and employees of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association; members and collaborators of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association.

Speaking at the opening of the training course, comrade Pham Van Hai - Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association affirmed: Lai Chau is a land of many ethnic colors, rich in traditional cultural identity, has been and is making a strong breakthrough, requiring sharp literary works, imbued with the spirit of the times, reflecting the breath of the highlands, to contribute to spreading the beautiful values ​​of ethnic cultures. The Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association hopes that, through the topics taught, students will have many open exchanges about knowledge, experiences about works, vibrant cultural and artistic life of the country and the province. In particular, focusing on discussing the innovation and attractiveness of literature and art.

During the 2 days (November 25-26), under the direct communication of Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien; Critic Bui Viet Thang, delegates and students were informed about 4 topics including: The Party's cultural guidelines - theory and practice of art; scientific and artistic values ​​in professional works of literary and artistic theory and criticism; literary criticism from life and cultural experiences; current situation of prose "Landscape and problems".

The training course is organized to help trainees continue to improve their level and understanding of some basic, important and current issues in ideological, cultural and artistic work in response to the requirements of the new period; exchange professional experiences, improve their skills in writing theories and literary and artistic criticism. At the same time, master some new contents in the viewpoints and cultural and artistic guidelines of the Party and State and the current situation of theoretical and practical criticism of literature and art. Thereby, consolidating the professional foundation, improving the quality of activities in the field of culture and arts of the province, gradually meeting the development requirements of the province in the new period.

As planned, the training course will conclude and award certificates to students on the afternoon of November 26.
