With the trust of the Asian Volleyball Federation, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) will host the 2025 AVC Nations Cup Asian Women's Volleyball Tournament in Dong Anh, Hanoi .
The tournament will take place from June 7 to June 14, 2025, with the participation of 11 Women's Teams from countries and territories in the Asian region including: Australia, India, Chinese Taipei, Iran, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong China, Mongolia, New Zealand, Philippines and the host team Vietnam.
As the host and defending champion for two consecutive seasons (2023 and 2024), head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team said that the whole team will aim to successfully defend the championship title in this tournament.
"This year, the team has the support of an Australian fitness expert, so the team's fitness has improved a lot," coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet shared about the preparation process of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball team before the tournament.
With the return from injury of captain Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, a 1m93 tall main attacker, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team is ready to make history by winning the championship 3 times in a row, thereby continuing to consolidate its position as the top team in Asia and accumulate important points on the world rankings.
"My injury has recovered 100%, I no longer feel pain when playing football. Physical strength is my weakness, however, recently I and the fitness expert have been trying to improve this problem. Hopefully in the next tournament I will be able to bring the best performance, aiming for the overall achievement of the whole team," Thanh Thuy shared.
At the 2025 AVC Nations Cup, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team is in Group A with opponents Australia, India, Taiwan (China) and Hong Kong (China).
11 teams are divided into 2 groups to compete in a round robin, from June 7 to June 12. From June 13, based on the results of the group stage, the teams will be ranked from 1 to 4 and from 5 to 11.

The Organizing Committee awarded Cups and Medals to the teams ranked First, Second, Third and 8 individual awards, including: 1 All-Around Athlete Award, 2 Outstanding Main Attacker Awards, 2 Outstanding Middle Blocker Awards, 1 Outstanding Setter Award, 1 Outstanding Opposite Athlete Award and 1 Outstanding Liebro Athlete Award.
This is a tournament with annual FIVB Ranking points and the winner of this tournament is eligible to participate in the 2026 Asian Women's Championship.
