More than 3 months ago, excited by the first victory of the Vietnamese women's team against the Thai women's team to win the championship for the first time in a regional tournament (SEA V-League), many experts as well as a large number of fans thought of a "golden scenario" for women's volleyball at the 33rd SEA Games.

Over the past 2 years, Vietnamese women's volleyball has easily conquered the AVC Challenge Cup, AVC Women's Club Cup, AVC Nations Cup and SEA V-League. Therefore, Vietnamese women's volleyball hopes to win gold medals at SEA Games 33.

However, it is impossible not to mention a fact: Thai women's volleyball is still at a different level after having participated in the most prestigious arenas in the world for many years. Not only possessing many top talents, Thailand also has home field advantage at the 33rd SEA Games, so it is not easy for opponents who are rated lower to surpass them.

Gathering in Quang Ninh from October 25 and arriving in Vinh Long from November 15 to get used to the weather and climate conditions that are said to be similar to Bangkok - Thailand, the Vietnamese women's team is rushing into the final preparation phase before leaving for the competition. The whole team focused on physical training with Australian expert Karl Lim, playing friendly matches with men's and women's teams in Vinh Long and Tay Ninh to practice attacking skills, blocking defense, and defending the back row.

The goal of winning the 33rd SEA Games gold medal is a big challenge but also a strong motivation for coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team to overcome themselves and create a miracle. After encouraging successes in the region and continent, the Vietnamese women's team has high expectations, but many opinions say that the team should not let everything become pressure during the competition journey in Thailand.
