On the evening of June 13 at Dong Anh Stadium ( Hanoi ), the semi-final match of the Asian Women's Volleyball Tournament - AVC Nations Cup 2025 took place between the home team Vietnam and the away team Kazakhstan.
Before the semi-final match, the Vietnamese women's team is writing an impressive journey at the AVC Nations Cup 2025 when winning all the group stage without losing any set. This excellent achievement has helped the team rise to 28th in the world for the first time, the highest ranking in the history of Vietnamese women's volleyball.
A large audience was present at Dong Anh Stadium to cheer for the Vietnamese girls against the runner-up team of the 2024 tournament.
The Vietnamese girls started the match very well right from the beginning of the first set when Bich Tuyen and Thanh Thuy continuously had easy points.
With a confident play showing clear superiority, the home team quickly established a gap of up to double digits, leaving the opponent with almost no chance to catch up. As a result, they easily closed the set with a convincing 25-15 victory.
In the second set, it seemed that coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team would continue to show stable performance, but surprisingly, the away team was the team with better fighting spirit.
Taking full advantage of the home team's first-step weaknesses, the away team continuously scored important points and quickly created an advantage.
Although the Vietnamese girls tried very hard to adjust and tighten their formation at the end of set 2, they still had to accept defeat with a score of 19-25.
The third set marked the spectacular comeback of the Vietnamese women's team. With smooth coordination, steady steps and confident play, the home team completely overwhelmed their opponents. Bich Tuyen continued to shine brightly, continuously breaking through the Kazakhstan defense, contributing greatly to the impressive 25-7 victory of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.

The Vietnamese team did not give the visitors any chance to hope to equalize in the fourth set when they quickly asserted their strength with a focused, solid and effective playing style. Each play showed the bravery and determination of the girls in purple.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's students won convincingly 25-16 in the deciding set, closing the semi-final match with a score of 3-1.
This is also the third consecutive time the Vietnamese women's team has participated in the AVC Nations Cup final, a meaningful milestone, marking the impressive progress of the country's women's volleyball team in the regional arena.
The convincing 3-1 victory over Kazakhstan in the semi-finals of the AVC Nations Cup 2025 not only brought the Vietnamese women's team to the final, but also helped us move up one place, officially reaching 27th place in the world on the newly updated FIVB rankings, the highest achievement in the history of Vietnamese women's volleyball.
