In a friendly and cordial atmosphere, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang expressed her pleasure in welcoming Chief of Staff of President Sebetela and the delegation of senior officials of Botswana on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Deputy Minister congratulated Botswana on the important achievements in national construction and development, becoming one of the countries with fast growth rates and high average income in Africa.
Chief of Staff of the President Sebetela thanked the warm welcome, expressed his joy at visiting Vietnam for the first time and was very impressed with the dynamism and development of Vietnam. Mr. Sebetela shared that Botswana is implementing the "Vision 2036" plan with the goal of making Botswana a high-income country by the end of 2036 and has chosen Vietnam as a destination in Asia, alongside Japan, Korea and Singapore to learn about the reform model, innovative thinking, people-centered, driving force and resources to achieve the set socio -economic development goals.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang welcomed Botswana for choosing Vietnam as a development model to refer to. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs shared the outstanding economic and social achievements that Vietnam has achieved in recent times; emphasizing that these achievements have many factors, including the tradition of solidarity and love of peace , the will and determination of the Vietnamese people, as well as the stable political system and the correct socio-economic development path led by the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang shared that Vietnam is striving to become a high-income country by 2045 and affirmed that the two countries have great potential to cooperate and promote the development and prosperity of the two countries. On that basis, the two sides agreed to increase the exchange of delegations at all levels, especially high-level delegations, to create breakthroughs for bilateral cooperation in all fields.
To promote economic and trade cooperation, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang suggested that the two sides increase the exchange of business delegations, share information on markets, policies, business and investment cooperation opportunities, create conditions for each other's strong export products to access the market, study the possibility of implementing bilateral or trilateral agricultural projects in the coming time, and promote the completion of the legal framework through negotiations and signing of important bilateral cooperation documents.
The Chief of the Botswana Presidential Office welcomed and agreed with the cooperation orientations shared by Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang and affirmed that he will coordinate and actively promote Botswana's ministries and agencies to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in the proposed fields.
