After the agreement, the two parties will continue to carry out procedures to request permission from competent authorities in Vietnam to put the fund management company into operation.
In November 2023, BIDV and Edmond de Rothschild officially established a strategic partnership to provide Private Banking services with international quality and class exclusively for high-end customers in Vietnam. This is the first strategic cooperation between the oldest financial institution with the largest total assets in Vietnam (BIDV) and the leading financial institution in Europe in managing assets for long-standing families throughout its 250-year history (Edmond de Rothschild). Continuing to pursue the goal of completing a closed chain of financial products and services, while further deepening the partnership between BIDV and Edmond de Rothschild; BSC and Edmond de Rothschild have signed a joint venture agreement to contribute capital to establish a fund management company in Vietnam. With the experience of Edmond de Rothschild combined with BIDV's understanding of the market and customers, BSC; the cooperation agreement aims to develop optimal fund products and services, suitable for investors in Vietnam.
The fund management company, after being established, will benefit from the strengths of BIDV, Edmond de Rothschild, Hana Securities and BSC: BIDV's strong financial potential, leading market share and customer network; Edmond de Rothschild's expertise and more than 250 years of experience in asset management globally; Hana Securities' strength in technology systems and experience in fund management according to international standards; BSC's expertise and understanding of the domestic market, one of the first and oldest securities companies in Vietnam.
