BSR and PVOIL promote consumption of E10 RON95 gasoline in Quang Ngai

The year 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of Petrovietnam's establishment and development. Over the past 50 years, Petrovietnam has written a proud epic - from the difficult early days of "Finding Fire", overcoming countless challenges to find the first drops of oil at Bach Ho field, opening a new page in history for the country's oil and gas industry. Since then, Petrovietnam has completed a journey of "from nothing to something", building a complete and synchronous industrial - energy ecosystem, becoming a pillar economic group of the country, a pioneer in energy transition.

Under the leadership of the Party, the State and the people, Petrovietnam has grown strongly, built a modern industry - energy and become a pillar economic group of the country. Petrovietnam is currently the largest enterprise in Vietnam, leading many financial indicators, having the highest profit and contributing the most to GDP as well as the national budget.

That half-century journey is also a testament to the pioneering spirit in the country’s industrialization and modernization. And today, amid the strong movements of the global energy revolution, Petrovietnam continues to affirm its leading role in energy transition, green growth and sustainable development.

2025 marks an important turning point for the energy industry as the Ministry of Industry and Trade is developing a roadmap for mandatory use of E10 biofuel from January 1, 2026, moving towards comprehensive implementation by 2030. According to this roadmap, all types of traditional mineral gasoline (RON92, RON95...) will be blended with E100 to form E10 biofuel to serve transportation nationwide.

To prepare for this roadmap, BSR has proactively included biofuel development in its development strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045; at the same time, it has completed infrastructure and restarted Dung Quat Biofuel Plant to be ready to supply products by both road and sea in the near future.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Mai Tuan Dat, Deputy General Director of BSR emphasized: “The deployment of E10 gasoline affirms the determination of Petrovietnam, BSR and PVOIL in implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. At the same time, it responds to the global energy transition trend, contributing to reducing CO2 emissions, protecting the environment and adapting to climate change. This is also an action demonstrating Petrovietnam's leading role in developing biofuels, promoting the use of renewable energy and contributing to realizing the Net Zero goal. In particular, the roadshow program affirms that E10 RON95 biofuel is suitable for all types of vehicles, helping people feel secure when using it."

Aiming to raise public awareness, encourage people to prioritize the use of environmentally friendly products, accompany the green growth strategy, develop clean energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, BSR cooperated with PVOIL Central to organize a motorbike roadshow program on many routes in Quang Ngai to promote E10 RON95 biofuel.

Mr. Le Trung Hung, Deputy General Director of PVOIL said: “On August 1, PVOIL also deployed a pilot sale of E10 RON95 bio-fuel in Hai Phong, Hanoi and Da Nang. Up to now, the unit has organized the implementation in Quang Ngai through PVOIL's distribution warehouse system with a capacity of over 15,000m3, ensuring supply to distribution systems and hubs in the area. This initial result is from the close and effective combination between BSR and PVOIL to bring a stable and quality source of goods. PVOIL plays the role of a bridge to directly bring products to consumers. Today's success is also the result of the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and continuous creativity of the collective leadership and employees of the two units".

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the roadshow delegation of BSR and PVOIL with signs and propaganda banners went through many central routes of Quang Ngai province, creating a lively atmosphere, attracting the attention of many local people. The program not only promoted products but also contributed to raising public awareness, encouraging consumers to prioritize the use of clean, safe and environmentally friendly fuels.
