"Explode" with the English Festival of students of the school named after Uncle Ho

“English Festival 2025 - Dylastia - Land of Hope” was held after the afternoon classes of students of Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary and High School ( Hanoi National University of Education). One of the interesting points of the program, the houses - the units participating in the performance at the Festival are not members of a class. The students come together, gather to build a "house" and then come up with ideas, stage and practice to have a common performance, their own "house".

The "houses" can be students selected from one grade, or two or three different grades, or even upperclassmen working together with lowerclassmen. Such as Draeven house (11D3 + 10A1), Eryndor house (11D2 + 10D5 + 10A2), Soprane house (11A3 + 10D2 + 10A6), Helvian house (11D1 + 10A4), Eryndor house (11D2 + 10D5 + 10A2)... Students of a grade can also attend many "houses" depending on their interests.

After the performances on stage, the "houses" will go down to the school yard to demonstrate their "fire-spreading" ability through extremely vibrant, bustling "cheer" performances, full of youthful energy. This is also the highlight of the English Festival 2025.

The vibrant nightlife was created by the "houses" with unique ideas, bringing the audience and judges to lands filled with vibrant sounds, bright lights, vibrant dances...

Not only showing excellent foreign language skills, the performances were also invested very carefully in terms of art. Therefore, the organizing committee had to choose a panel of judges from foreign teachers, teachers in the foreign language group, teachers in the art group to "weigh the scales" as judges.

The teacher also said that the English Festival 2025 series of activities mobilized a large number of students. Through these activities, students applied a lot of knowledge and skills. The series of activities also took a lot of time and effort from teachers and students... but it returned to students many times over with great and sustainable values, which are English proficiency; cultural knowledge; soft skills; solidarity, sharing and dedication...

According to the teacher's assessment, after many years of organization, the English Festival program in general and the English Festival 2025 have been truly successful in becoming an unforgettable mark in the memory of every student studying at Nguyen Tat Thanh School. As someone who has attended the English Festival of many generations of students at Nguyen Tat Thanh School, Ms. Huong Thao - English teacher - could not hide her pride: "I am really proud of you. Sharing his feelings, Vu Minh Phuong, class 10N3 said: “The performance rehearsals with the seniors are something I will never forget. Being able to attend the program helped me feel the eagerness, enthusiasm, and passion of the seniors. Although the performance rehearsals were very tiring, they became the happiest moments that I will always remember in this school year.”

Although not a specialized language school, the English Festival programs held annually show the excellent English proficiency of the students of the school named after Uncle Ho. In recent National High School Exams, Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary and High School have always been in the Top 10 schools with the highest foreign language scores in Hanoi.
